Beliefs

The foundation of Neighborhood Fellowship is the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.We believe that His life is a model for the way we should live our own, His death is the sacrificethat atoned for our sins, and His resurrection is the powerful hope we have for eternity.

We also believe:

● the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, and our ultimate authority. Every part of ourdoctrine, worship, and devotion as a church is built on the truth of Scripture.

● in one God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

● that Jesus in the Son of God, taking on human flesh to reveal God to the world. He is theSavior of this world, taking on our sins through death on a cross and resurrecting so thatwe might live eternally with God.

● the personal application of the truths found in the Bible is key to our church. We seekGod’s leading in how we may apply the Scriptures to our current, contemporary lives andthe lives of those around us.

● in the power of community. God has given each of us with a unique set of gifts andstrengths, and, because of that, there is so much we can learn from one another! Webelieve in the power of growing together as a faith community and supporting oneanother in our walks with Christ. We believe that an important ministry of the church is tobring mercy to our neighbors in need.

● in the Call To Make Disciples: The message of Jesus Christ is meant to be shared withothers. Therefore, we want to equip followers of Christ at our church to fulfill God’s call tomake disciples by sharing their faith, inviting others to church, and leading peopletowards a relationship with Christ.

Our purpose is to glorify God by being and making disciples of Jesus Christ who are acommunity of worshipers on mission.

OUR PURPOSE IS TO GLORIFY GOD…We exist for the praise of God’s glorious grace. This grace is most clearly seen in Jesus as Helived the faithful life we could not live, died the guilty death we deserve to die, and rose again sothat we can be forgiven and renewed to know and treasure Him above all things. Our goal is forthe knowledge and praise of God to spread deeper in our lives and broader in our world.

…BY BEING AND MAKING DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST…The gospel calls us to trust in Jesus and follow Him as disciples. We are to love as He lovedand live as He lived, becoming more and more like Him throughout our lives. As His disciples,we are also called to make more disciples by proclaiming the gospel as well as teaching andmodeling obedience to everything His Word commands.
